In the heart of the historic district is the Georgetown County Museum, preserving and displaying more than 300 years of history and culture in the third oldest city in South Carolina. Open Tuesday through Friday 10 AM until 4 PM and Saturday 10 AM until 3 PM. Normal admission is children under 6 free, ages 6-18 $2, ages 19-64 $4 and 65 and older $3. Litchfield Country Club

The mature tree-lined fairways wind amid giant oaks and shimmering lakes of a former Carolina rice plantation, creating an extraordinary challenging "country club" experience. Built in the early 1960's under the watchful eye of Willard Byrd, this traditionally styled layout is the flagship of the great plantation courses of Georgetown County.
